Michael Alfone was arrested Friday and then released pending an April 6 first appearance in Central Judicial Processing in Hackensack, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said on Monday, March 21.
Detectives from the prosecutor’s Cyber Crimes Unit raided Alfone’s Arch Street home off Main Street on March 4 during the course of a months-long investigation, Musella said.
They arrested Alfone on third-degree child porn possession charges after determining that he “used the Internet to view, download, and possess [images] depicting nude and/or sexually explicit prepubescent and pubescent children,” the prosecutor said.
Musella thanked Ramsey police, as well as their colleagues from Lyndhurst and Paramus who participate in his Cyber Crimes Task Force.
